🌟 Rohingyas consider the increase in the number of family members as one of the strengths to be sustainable in Bangladesh.
🌟 Fatima has nine children ✒
On January 30, 2019, while traveling on the Teknaf-Myanmar Transit Bridge https://tinyurl.com/y3sxephy , I sat in a store https://tinyurl.com/y2dd8596 and bought a bottle of Seven Up at a normal temperature outside the fridge.
Even though it was winter then, I felt hot as I traveled a lot in the hot sun that day.
Then I saw a Rohingya girl sitting in the shop talking to the shop owner in Bengali and Burmese languages.
When I wanted to know his identity, he introduced himself as Rohingya and showed me the Rohingya card.
I saw her name on the card, Fatema. Age 34 years.
I asked, married?
He said, done.
I asked, have you had children?
I was not surprised by what Fatima said in answer to the question.
He said he had six sons and three daughters.
At age 34, Fatima has nine children.
I asked, did you have nine children at this age?
Answering the question, he said, this is one of their strengths to be stable in Bangladesh. Because, the more they increase the number of family members, the harder it will be for the Bangladesh government to send them back to Myanmar.
🌟 Everyone has the same attitude ✒
As many Rohingya girls as I spoke to in Cox's Bazar at that time, almost everyone said the same thing.
As many houses as I have visited, I have seen children's gatherings.
Even so, many mothers and daughters mistakenly think of them as sisters because of their early marriage.
Not just girls - boys feel the same way about Fatima.
That is why they are so active in raising families in Bangladesh.
🌟 Recommendation ✒
Policies on the number of Rohingya members also need to be formulated.
For that, family planning system needs to be introduced in Rohingya camps.
And each couple needs to determine the number of children, they can not have more than a certain number of children.

🌟 ফাতেমার নয়টা সন্তান ✒
2019 সালের জানুয়ারির 30 তারিখে টেকনাফ - মায়ানমার ট্রানজিট ব্রিজে https://tinyurl.com/y3sxephy ভ্রমণ করে আমি একটা দোকানে https://tinyurl.com/y2dd8596 বসে ফ্রিজের বাইরে নরমাল টেম্পারেচারে রাখা এক বোতল সেভেন আপ ক্রয় করে খাচ্ছিলাম।
তখন শীতকাল থাকলেও সেদিন প্রচণ্ড রোদে অনেক পথ ভ্রমণ করার ফলে আমার গরম লাগছিলো।
তখন দেখলাম দোকানে রোহিঙ্গা একটা মেয়ে বসে দোকানের মালিকের সঙ্গে বাংলা ও বার্মিজ ভাষায় কথা বলছে।
আমি ওর পরিচয় জানতে চাইলে সে নিজের পরিচয় দিলো রোহিঙ্গা বলে এবং রোহিঙ্গা কার্ডও দেখালো।
কার্ডে দেখলাম ওর নাম , ফাতেমা। বয়স 34 বছর।
আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম , বিয়ে হয়েছে ?
সে বললো , হয়েছে।
আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম , সন্তান হয়েছে ?
প্রশ্নের উত্তরে ফাতেমা যে কথা বললো , তাতে আমি অবাক না হয়ে পারলাম না।
সে বললো , ওর ছয় ছেলে , তিন মেয়ে।
34 বছর বয়সে ফাতেমার নয়টা সন্তান।
আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম , এই বয়সেই নয়টা সন্তান নিয়ে নিলেন ?
প্রশ্নের উত্তরে সে বললো , বাংলাদেশে স্হায়ী হতে এটাই নাকি ওদের অন্যতম শক্তি। কেননা , ওরা পরিবারের সদস্য সংখ্যা যতোই বৃদ্ধি করবে , বাংলাদেশ সরকারের পক্ষে ততোই কঠিন হবে ওদেরকে মায়ানমারে ফেরত পাঠাতে।
🌟 সকলেরই একই মনোভাব ✒
আমি সেই সময়টাতে কক্সবাজারের রোহিঙ্গা যতো মেয়ের সঙ্গে কথা বলেছি , প্রায় সকলেই একই কথা বলেছে।
যতোগুলো ঘরে আমি গিয়েছি , শিশু বাচ্চাদের আসর দেখেছি।
এমনকি , ওদের অল্প বয়সে বিয়ে হওয়ার কারণে মা আর মেয়েদের অনেকেই ভুল করে ওদেরকে বোন মনে করতে পারেন।
শুধু মেয়েরাই না - ছেলেরাও ফাতেমার মতোই ঐ রকম মনে করে।
তাই ওরা বাংলাদেশে পরিবার বৃদ্ধিতে এতো তৎপর হচ্ছে।
🌟 প্রস্তাবনা ✒
রোহিঙ্গাদের সদস্য সংখ্যার বিষয়েও নীতিমালা প্রণয়ন করা দরকার।
সে জন্য রোহিঙ্গা ক্যাম্পগুলোতে পরিবার পরিকল্পনা ব্যবস্থা চালু করা দরকার।
এবং প্রতিটা দম্পতিতে সন্তানের সংখ্যা নির্ধারণ করে দেয়া দরকার , নির্দিষ্ট সংখ্যার বেশি সন্তান ওরা নিতে পারবে না।
