Cheater Bodi is one of the main traffickers of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in Malaysia illegally from Teknaf through Myanmar and Thailand.
Later, when the Rohingyas entered Bangladesh and brought with them sacks of yaba and illegal weapons, gang leaders like cheater Bodi, four brothers of Bodi and Ekram also started smuggling yaba.
As a result, drug dealers across the country also became involved with Batpar Badi and Ekram.
Therefore, smuggling of yaba increased in the villages of Bangladesh including Dhaka city.

আবার যখন দেশজুরে মানব পাচার আর ইয়াবার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযান চলছিলো - তখন বাটপার বদি বাংলাদেশ থেকে পালিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য হাজি সাহেব সেজেছিলো।
কোন ব্যক্তির দ্বারা সম্পন্ন হজ্বের গ্রহণযোগ্যতা , মানে হজ্ব কবুল হলো , নাকি কবুল হলো না - সেটা একমাত্র আল্লাহর নিজের বিষয়।
কিন্তু কোন বাটপার , মাদক চোরাকারবারী অথবা মানব পাচারকারী যদি আইনের আওতার বাইরে যাওয়ার জন্য হজ্বকে ব্যবহার করে - তবে সেটা আলোচনার বিষয় হতেই পারে।
2014 সালে ড. শেখ হাসিনার একক সিদ্ধান্তে যখন আওয়ামী লীগ আবার সরকার গঠন করে - তখন যে কয়জন দুর্নীতিবাজ লোক ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহার শুরু করে , এদের মধ্যে বাটপার বদি অন্যতম।
টেকনাফ থেকে চোরাপথে অবৈধভাবে মায়ানমার ও থাইল্যান্ড দিয়ে মালয়েশিয়ায় বাংলাদেশি আর রোহিঙ্গাদের পাচারের অন্যতম হোতা হচ্ছে বাটপার বদি।
পরে আবার যখন রোহিঙ্গারা বাংলাদেশে অনুপ্রবেশ করে এবং সঙ্গে করে বস্তার বস্তা ইয়াবা আর অবৈধ অস্ত্র নিয়ে আসে - তখনও বাটপার বদি , বদির চার ভাই আর একরামের মতো গ্যাঙ লিডাররাও নতুন করে ইয়াবা চোরাকাবার শুরু করে।
ফলে সারাদেশের মাদকের দালালরাও বাটপার বদি আর একরামদের সঙ্গে জড়িত হয়।
তাই ঢাকা শহরসহ বাংলাদেশের গ্রামে - গঞ্জে ইয়াবার চোরাকাবার বৃদ্ধি পায়।
শুধু সেটাই না , মাদকের কারণে অন্যান্য অপরাধও বৃদ্ধি পায়।
এভাবেই 2017 - 18 সময়টাতে ইয়াবা ছিলো অপরাধের অন্যতম উপায়।
কিন্তু শেষে একরামের ক্রস ফায়ারের মাধ্যমে ব্যপক হারে মাদক চোরাকারবারীদের অপতৎপরতা কমে যায়।
