 Fortunately, or someone else's plan - General Zia was added to power after the assassination of Bangabandhu.

 🌟 Bangabandhu and General Zia ✒ 

 Although General Zia was not sympathetic to Bangabandhu's family members after 1975, General Zia was Bangabandhu's beloved army officer.

 After independence, Major Zia was promoted to Major General by Bangabandhu.

 Not only that, General Zia and Madam Khaleda Zia also used to visit Bangabandhu's house.

 🌟 Appointment of General Zia as the Chief of Army Staff ✒ 

 After the assassination of Bangabandhu, Major Dalim appointed Khandaker Mushtaq as the President without any rules.

 General Zia was again appointed by Khandaker Mushtaq as the Chief of Army Staff.

 Basically, this appointment made General Khaled Musharraf dissatisfied.

 🌟 The roles of General Zia, General Khaled and Colonel Shafayat Jamil are almost the same ✒ 

 The role played by General Zia in the assassination of Bangabandhu on 15 August was almost exactly the same as that played by General Khaled and Colonel Shafayat Jamil.

 Their role was questionable. I mean as the historian, in a word, it was not clear whether they were for or against the assassination of Bangabandhu.

 🌟 General Zia was neglected by Khandaker Mushtaq and General Osmani ✒ 

 Although General Zia was appointed by Khandaker Mushtaq as the Chief of Army Staff - General Zia was neglected by General Osmani as the President and Adviser to the Army by General Osmani.

 However, after 1990, there was a kinship between General Zia and General Osmani's family.

 🌟 General Zia was taken prisoner ✒ 

 On November 3, General Zia was led by General Khaled and Colonel Shafayat Jamil.

 The general wanted Khandaker Mushtaq to resign because of such a counter-coup

 Khaled disagrees.

 So Khandaker Mushtaq remained in office for a few days as president.

 🌟 Release of General Zia by Colonel Taher ✒

 On 7 November, Major Jalil, led by Colonel Taher, some officers and many soldiers and the armed masses of the political party Jasad revolted and liberated General Zia.

 🌟 Final attachment to General Zia ✒ 

 It was mainly due to the final annexation by the November 7 uprising that General Zia became the main power figure in the Bangladesh army and politics.

 And General Zia used that power for himself and his family by executing Colonel Taher and other soldiers in a military style (court martial).

ভাগ্যক্রমেই হউক আর অন্য কারোর পরিকল্পনাতেই হউক - বঙ্গবন্ধুর হত্যাকাণ্ডের পরে জেনারেল জিয়াকে ক্ষমতায় সংযোজন করা হয়েছিলো।

🌟 বঙ্গবন্ধু ও জেনারেল জিয়া ✒

1975 সালের পরে বঙ্গবন্ধুর পরিবারের সদস্যদের প্রতি জেনারেল জিয়া সহানুভূতিশীল না হলেও জেনারেল জিয়া ছিলেন বঙ্গবন্ধুর স্নেহধন্য সেনা অফিসার।

স্বাধীনতার পরে মেজর জিয়াকে বঙ্গবন্ধু প্রমোশন দিয়ে মেজর জেনারেলের পদোন্নতি দিয়েছিলেন।

শুধু তাই - ই না , বঙ্গবন্ধুর বাড়িতে জেনারেল জিয়া এবং মেডাম খালেদা জিয়া বেড়াতেও যেতেন।

🌟 জেনারেল জিয়াকে সেনাপ্রধান হিসেবে নিয়োগ ✒

বঙ্গবন্ধুকে হত্যার পরে খন্দকার মোশতাককে মেজর ডালিমরা নিয়ম ছাড়াই রাষ্ট্রপতি হিসেবে নিয়োগ দেয়।

আবার জেনারেল জিয়াকে খন্দকার মোশতাক সেনাপ্রধান হিসেবে নিয়োগ দেয়।

মূলতঃ এই নিয়োগটাই জেনারেল খালেদ মোশাররফকে অসন্তুষ্ট করে তোলে।

🌟 জেনারেল জিয়া , জেনারেল খালেদ আর কর্নেল শাফায়াত জামিলের প্রায় একই রকম ভূমিকা ✒ 

15 আগস্ট বঙ্গবন্ধুকে হত্যার সময়ে জেনারেল জিয়া যেমন ভূমিকা পালন করেছিলেন - প্রায় ঠিক তেমনি ভূমিকা ছিলো জেনারেল খালেদ আর কর্নেল শাফায়াত জামিলের। 

তিনিদের ভূমিকা ছিলো সন্দেহজনক। মানে , এক কথায় বললে বলতে হয় , তিনিরা কি বঙ্গবন্ধুর হত্যার পক্ষে ছিলেন - নাকি বিপক্ষে ছিলেন , সেটা বুঝা যাচ্ছিলো না। 

🌟 জেনারেল জিয়াকে খন্দকার মোশতাক ও জেনারেল ওসমানী কর্তৃক অবহেলা ✒

যদিও সেনাপ্রধান হিসেবে জেনারেল জিয়াকে খন্দকার মোশতাক নিয়োগ দিয়েছিলেন - কিন্তু জেনারেল জিয়াকে প্রেসিডেন্ট হিসেবে খন্দকার মোশতাক ও সেনাবাহিনীর উপদেষ্টা হিসেবে জেনারেল ওসমানী অবহেলা করতেন এবং তেমন একটা গুরুত্ব দিতেন না।

যদিও 1990 সালের পরে জেনারেল জিয়া ও জেনারেল ওসমানীর পরিবারের মধ্যে একটা আত্মীয়তার সম্পর্ক হয়েছিলো।

🌟 জেনারেল জিয়াকে বন্দী ✒ 

নভেম্বরের 3 তারিখে জেনারেল খালেদ আর কর্নেল শাফায়াত জামিলের নেতৃত্বে জেনারেল জিয়াকে বন্দী করা হয়। 

ঐ রকম পাল্টা অভ্যুত্থানের কারণে খন্দকার মোশতাক পদত্যাগ করতে চাইলে জেনারেল 

খালেদ অসম্মত হয়।

তাই খন্দকার মোশতাক প্রেসিডেন্ট হিসেবে কয়েক দিনের জন্য বহাল থাকেন।

🌟 কর্নেল তাহের কর্তৃক জেনারেল জিয়াকে মুক্ত করা ✒

নভেম্বরের 7 তারিখে কর্নেল তাহেরের নেতৃত্বে মেজর জলিল , কিছু অফিসার ও অনেক সৈনিক এবং জাসদের অস্ত্রধারী গণবাহিনী বিদ্রোহ করে এবং জেনারেল জিয়াকে মুক্ত করে।

🌟 জেনারেল জিয়াকে চূড়ান্ত সংযুক্তি ✒

মূলত নভেম্বরের 7 তারিখের বিদ্রোহের দ্বারা চূড়ান্ত সংযুক্তির কারণেই জেনারেল জিয়া বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনী ও রাজনীতির মূল ক্ষমতাবান ব্যক্তিতে পরিণত হয়েছিলেন।

আর সেই ক্ষমতাকে জেনারেল জিয়া নিজের ও নিজের পরিবারের জন্য স্হায়ী করেছিলেন কর্নেল তাহের আর অন্যান্য সৈনিকদেরকে মিলিটারি স্টাইলে (কোর্ট মার্শাল) ফাঁসিতে ঝুলিয়ে মৃত্যুদণ্ড কার্যকরের মাধ্যমে।
