🌟 General Zia was aware of the plans and conspiracies of Colonel Farooq and Major Rashid to assassinate Bangabandhu but remained silent.




🌟 Plan ✒ 




It is historically true that, Colonel Farooq was the mastermind behind the assassination of Bangabandhu.




🌟 Conspiracy ✒ 




Major Rashid and other officers assisted Colonel Farooq in carrying out conspiracy.




🌟 Informing General Zia ✒ 




When one of the conspirators informed General Zia about it, he simply said, "Go ahead."




🌟 General Zia's limitations ✒ 




As a historian, I think if General Zia had reprimanded the conspirator and stopped him from conspiring, then General Zia would have been killed before Bangabandhu.




Because, even though General Zia was a senior officer at that time, he was almost a lonely person.




But Farooq-Rashid was very powerful officers.




🌟 Could have stopped indirectly ✒ 




Although not directly, General Zia could have secretly, tactically and indirectly stopped Farooq-Rashid through other patriotic army officers. 




But General Zia did not stop indirectly.

🌟 বঙ্গবন্ধুকে হত্যার বিষয়ে কর্নেল ফারুক আর মেজর রশিদদের পরিকল্পনা ও ষড়যন্ত্রের ব্যাপারে জেনারেল জিয়া কিছুটা উপলব্ধি করলেও নীরব ছিলেন।


🌟 পরিকল্পনা ✒


ঐতিহাসিকভাবেই সত্য যে , বঙ্গবন্ধুকে হত্যার মূল পরিকল্পনাকারী ছিলো কর্নেল ফারুক।


🌟 ষড়যন্ত্র ✒


কর্নেল ফারুকের ষড়যন্ত্রকে বাস্তবায়ন করতে সহযোগিতা করেছিলো মেজর রশিদ ও অন্যান্য অফিসাররা।


🌟 জেনারেল জিয়াকে অবহিত করা ✒


ষড়যন্ত্রকারীদের একজন জেনারেল জিয়াকে উক্ত বিষয়ে অবহিত করলে , তিনি শুধু বলেছিলেন ,"গো এহেড (এগিয়ে চলো)।"


🌟 জেনারেল জিয়ার সীমাবদ্ধতা ✒


একজন ঐতিহাসিক হিসেবে আমার মনে হয় , সেই ষড়যন্ত্রকারীকে জেনারেল জিয়া যদি ধমক দিয়ে ষড়যন্ত্র থেকে বিরত করতেন , তাহলে জেনারেল জিয়াকেই বঙ্গবন্ধুর আগে হত্যা করা হতো।


কেননা , সেই সময়ে জেনারেল জিয়া সিনিয়র অফিসার হলেও , তিনি ছিলেন প্রায় নিঃসঙ্গ একাকী ব্যক্তি।


কিন্তু ফারুক - রশিদরা ছিলো অত্যন্ত ক্ষমতাশালী অফিসার।


🌟 পরোক্ষভাবে বিরত করতে পারতেন ✒


সরাসরি না হলেও , জেনারেল জিয়া গোপনে এবং কৌশলে অন্যান্য দেশপ্রেমিক সেনা অফিসারদের মাধ্যমে পরোক্ষভাবে (ইনডাইরেক্টলি) ফারুক - রশিদদেরকে বিরত করতে পারতেন। 


কিন্তু জেনারেল জিয়া পরোক্ষভাবেও বিরত না করে নীরব থেকেছিলেন।
