 🌟 In 1996, the BNP leaders elected themselves and formed the government.

 🌟 Two elections in one year ✒ 

 There were two elections in 1996. The first election was held within the BNP itself and the second election was held with the participation of all parties.

 🌟 As was the first election ✒ 

 Awami League and other parties did not participate in the election as it was the first election under the control of BNP.

 So the BNP leaders elected themselves.

 The leaders of one group chose the symbol of the sheaf of rice and the leaders of the other group chose the symbol of their choice such as: - hand fan, kula etc.

 Thus, the BNP formed the new government with the first election in 1996.

 🌟 Second election ✒ 

 The BNP was forced to hold a second election as the first election was not acceptable.

 So when the second election was held, the Awami League was elected by a huge vote and formed a new government.

 🌟 Mr. Ershad in 1996 ✒ 

 In that election, Mr. Ershad was imprisoned and participated in the election and was elected as an MP in a few seats.

🌟 1996 সালে বিএনপি নেতারা নিজেরা নির্বাচন করে সরকার গঠন করেছিলেন।

🌟 এক বছরে দুই নির্বাচন ✒

1996 সালে দুটা নির্বাচন হয়েছিল। প্রথম নির্বাচনটা হয়েছিল বিএনপির নিজেদের মধ্যে আর দ্বিতীয় নির্বাচনটা হয়েছিল সকল দলের অংশগ্রহণে।

🌟 যেমন ছিল প্রথম নির্বাচন ✒

বিএনপির নিয়ন্ত্রণে প্রথম নির্বাচন হওয়ার কারণে আওয়ামীলীগ ও অন্যান্য দল নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণ করে নি।

তাই বিএনপির নেতারা নিজেরাই নির্বাচন করেছিলেন।

এক গ্রুপের নেতারা ধানের শীষ প্রতীকে এবং আরেক গ্রুপের নেতারা নিজেদের পছন্দমত প্রতীক যেমন : - হাতপাখা , কুলা প্রভৃতি প্রতীক নিয়ে নির্বাচন করেছিলেন।

এভাবেই 1996 সালের প্রথম নির্বাচন করে বিএনপি নতুন সরকার গঠন করেছিল।

🌟 দ্বিতীয় নির্বাচন ✒

প্রথম নির্বাচন গ্রহণযোগ্য না হওয়ার কারণে বিএনপি বাধ্য হয়েছিল দ্বিতীয় নির্বাচন দেয়ার জন্যে।

তাই দ্বিতীয় নির্বাচন দেয়া হলে আওয়ামীলীগ বিপুল ভোটে নির্বাচিত হয়ে নতুন সরকার গঠন করেছিল।

🌟 1996 সালে এরশাদ সাহেব ✒ 

সেই নির্বাচনে এরশাদ সাহেব জেলে অবস্হান করে নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণ করে কয়েকটা আসনে এমপি নির্বাচিত হয়েছিলেন।
