🌟 At that time I (Junayed Ashrafur Rahman) ✒ 

 At that time I was studying for a master's degree in Bengali literature at Anandamohan College in Mymensingh. I would leave Nandail and return home after class.

 Then I suddenly heard that an almost unknown organization Hefazat-e-Islam was attacking Dhaka in the style of BNP.

 Hefazat-e-Islam was an almost unknown organization to people all over the country at that time.

🌟 Hefazat-e-Islam ✒ 

 Hefazat-e-Islam is an organization of students and teachers of different Qawmi madrasas in Bangladesh.

 Educators of other streams do not usually participate in the organization.

 🌟 Dhaka Attack ✒ 

 In May 2013, students and teachers from all over the country, led by Hefazat, suddenly started gathering at Shapla Chattar in Dhaka.

 Probably no other non-political organization has held such a large gathering before Hefazat.

🌟 Demand for custody ✒ 

 Hefazat-e-Islam gathered in Dhaka with some demands that are difficult for any party to implement in a modern democracy.

 🌟 BNP's Dhaka siege and Hefazat's Dhaka attack ✒ 

 In 2011-12, the BNP besieged Dhaka on political issues.

 In 2013, in the last year of the then government, Hefazat-e-Islam attacked Dhaka.

 Although there was a nationwide movement of Qawmi People on the issue of fatwa in 2000, it was not a significant issue in 2013.

🌟 Introduction to new leaders ✒ 

 As a result of that movement of Hefazat-e-Islam, the acquaintance of Maulana Junaid Babu Nagri, Maulana Mamunul Haque and other leaders had increased.

 🌟 BNP's program ✒ 

 At that time, the BNP announced some of its own party programs.

 That program indirectly supported custody, albeit to some extent.

🌟 Distribution of water to Mr. Ershad's supporters ✒

 At that time, Mr. Ershad's supporters distributed water to the leaders and workers of Hefazat who came to Dhaka.

 There was a silent support of Mr. Ershad's supporters for Hefazat's Dhaka attack.

 🌟 Statement of Mr. Ershad ✒ 

 Mr. Ershad also made a statement indirectly supporting Hefazat at that time.

 The matter affected Hefazat to some extent.

🌟 Political Attack of Non-Political Parties ✒ 

 Although Hefazat-e-Islam is a non-political organization, the aggressive rhetoric addressed to Syed Ashraful Islam, one of the most influential ministers of the then government at Shapla Chattar, revealed political activism.

 🌟 Ganajagaran and Hefazat-e-Islam ✒ 

 Ganajagaran Mancha held a rally in Shahbag demanding execution of war criminals.

 At that time, many in Hefazat-e-Islam at Shapla Chattar thought that there was a movement to save the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami.

 So many people at that time mocked Hifazat and said, Hifazat is Jamaat-e-Islam.

🌟 Influence in politics ✒ 

 Hefazat-e-Islam's movement at the time was influenced by general politics as well as the 2014 elections - just as the 2001 elections were influenced by the fatwa issue movement.

🌟 হেফাজতে ইসলাম ✒

বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন কওমি মাদ্রাসার ছাত্র - শিক্ষকদের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত সংগঠন হেফাজতে ইসলাম।

ঐ সংগঠনে সাধারণত অন্যান্য ধারার শিক্ষিতদের অংশগ্রহণ হয় না।

🌟 ঢাকা এ্যাটাক ✒

2013 সালের মে মাসে হঠাৎ করে হেফাজতের নেতৃত্বে সারাদেশের কওমি মাদ্রাসা থেকে ছাত্র - শিক্ষকগণ ঢাকার শাপলা চত্বরে জমায়েত হওয়া শুরু করেন।

হেফাজতের আগে এত বড় সমাবেশ সম্ভবতঃ অন্য কোন অরাজনৈতিক সংগঠন আগে করেনি।

🌟 হেফাজতের দাবি ✒

হেফাজতে ইসলাম এমন কিছু দাবি নিয়ে ঢাকাতে জমায়েত হয়েছিল , যে দাবিগুলো আধুনিক গণতান্ত্রিক দেশে বাস্তবায়ন করা যে কোন দলের জন্য দুরূহ বিষয়।

🌟 বিএনপির ঢাকা ঘেরাও ও হেফাজতের ঢাকা এ্যাটাক ✒

2011-12 সালে রাজনৈতিক ইস্যুতে বিএনপি ঢাকা ঘেরাও করেছিল।

আবার 2013 সালে তখনের গভমেন্টের শেষ বছরে হেফাজতে ইসলাম ঢাকা এ্যাটাক করেছিল।

2000 সালে ফতোয়া ইস্যুতে সারাদেশে কওমি হুজুরদের আন্দোলন হলেও 2013 সালে তেমন উল্লেখযোগ্য ইস্যু ছিল না।

🌟 নতুন নেতাদের পরিচিতি ✒

হেফাজতে ইসলামের ঐ আন্দোলনের ফলে মাওলানা জুনায়েদ বাবু নগরী , মাওলানা মামুনুল হকসহ আরো হুজুরদের পরিচিতি বেড়ে ছিল।

🌟 বিএনপির কর্মসূচি ✒

সেই সময়ে বিএনপি নিজেদের দলীয় কিছু কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করেছিল।

সেই কর্মসূচি হেফাজতকে কিছুটা হলেও পরোক্ষভাবে সমর্থন করেছিল। 

🌟 এরশাদ সাহেবের সমর্থকদের পানি বিতরণ ✒ 

সেই সময়ে এরশাদ সাহেবের সমর্থকগণ ঢাকাতে আগত হেফাজতের নেতা - কর্মীদেরকে পানি বিতরণ করেছিলেন। 

এতে হেফাজতের ঢাকা এ্যাটাকের প্রতি এরশাদ সাহেবের সমর্থকদের একটা নীরব সমর্থন ছিল। 

🌟 এরশাদ সাহেবের বিবৃতি ✒ 

এরশাদ সাহেবও সেই সময়ে হেফাজতকে পরোক্ষভাবে সমর্থন করে বিবৃতি দিয়েছিলেন। 

বিষয়টা কিছুটা হলেও হেফাজতকে প্রভাবিত করেছিল। 

🌟 অরাজনৈতিক দলের রাজনৈতিক আক্রমণ ✒ 

হেফাজতে ইসলাম অরাজনৈতিক সংগঠন হলেও শাপলা চত্বরে তখনের সরকারের অন্যতম প্রভাবশালী মন্ত্রী সৈয়দ আশরাফুল ইসলামের উদ্দেশে যে আক্রমণাত্মক বক্তব্য দেয়া হয়েছিল - তাতে রাজনৈতিক তৎপরতা প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল। 

🌟 গণজাগরণ ও হেফাজত ✒ 

যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের ফাঁসির দাবিতে শাহবাগে গণজাগরণ মঞ্চ সমাবেশ করেছিল। 

ঠিক সেই সময়ে শাপলা চত্বরে হেফাজতে ইসলামের জমায়েতকে অনেকেই মনে করেছিলেন , জামায়াতে ইসলামির নেতাদেরকে বাঁচানোর জন্য আন্দোলন করা হচ্ছে।

তাই অনেকেই সেই সময়ে হেফাজতকে ব্যঙ্গ করে বলেছিলেন, হেফাজতে জামায়াতে ইসলাম।

🌟 রাজনীতিতে প্রভাব ✒ 

সেই সময়ে হেফাজতে ইসলাম যে আন্দোলন করেছিল , তাতে সাধারণ রাজনীতি তো বটেই 2014 সালের নির্বাচনকেও প্রভাবিত করতে পারত - যেমনটা 2001 সালের নির্বাচনকে ফতোয়া ইস্যুর আন্দোলন প্রভাবিত করেছিল।
