After independence from Britain in 1947, the people of then East Pakistan were being exploited by the rulers of West Pakistan.


Basically, the people of East Pakistan were being exploited by the rulers of West Pakistan, just like Britain.


As a result, the people of East Pakistan were being exploited and oppressed by the colonial rule of West Pakistan after gaining independence in name only.


Exploitation and torture were going on in all areas, including language, culture, administration, employments.


As such a situation continued, in 1971, the anger of the people of East Pakistan against the then rulers of Pakistan was saturated.


As a result, Bangabandhu's 7th March speech spontaneously inspired the people at that time.


There were many incidents like gunpowder warehouses being set on fire.


In other words, Bangabandhu's speech provided inspiration like a fire in the long pent-up anger.


Had the speech been delivered before 1971, it would never have been a success.


Because, about success of that speech was not created before 1971.

“রাজনৈতিক দীর্ঘ ঘটনার কারণে বঙ্গবন্ধুর ৭ই মার্চের ভাষণ সফল হয়েছিল।”


১৯৪৭ সালে ব্রিটেন থেকে স্বাধীনতার পর পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানের শাসকদের দ্বারা তৎকালীন পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের জনগণ শোষিত হচ্ছিল।


মূলত ব্রিটেনের মতোই পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের জনগণকে পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানের শাসকরা শোষণ করছিল।


ফলে নামে মাত্র স্বাধীনতা লাভ করে পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের জনগণ পশ্চিম পাকিস্তান কর্তৃক ঔপনিবেশিক শাসনের দ্বারা শোষিত ও নির্যাতিত হচ্ছিল। 


ভাষা, সংস্কৃতি, প্রশাসন, চাকরিসহ সকল ক্ষেত্রেই শোষণ ও নির্যাতন চলছিল।


এরকম পরিস্থিতি চলতে চলতে ১৯৭১ সালে পাকিস্তানের তৎকালীন শাসকদের বিরুদ্ধে পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের জনগণের ক্ষোভ পরিপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠেছিলো।


ফলে সেই সময়ে বঙ্গবন্ধুর ৭ই মার্চের ভাষণ জনগণকে স্বতঃস্ফূর্তভাবে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছিল।


অনেকটা বারুদের গুদামে আগুন ধরানোর মতো ঘটনা ঘটেছিল।


অর্থাৎ, দীর্ঘদিনের জমে উঠা ক্ষোভের মধ্যে বঙ্গবন্ধুর ভাষণ আগুনের মতো অনুপ্রেরণা জুগিয়েছিল।


ওই ভাষণ ১৯৭১ সালের আগে দেয়া হলে কখনই সাফল্য অর্জিত হতো না।


কেননা, ওই ভাষণের সাফল্যের পরিস্থিতি ১৯৭১ সালের আগে তৈরি হয় নি।


তাই রাজনৈতিক দীর্ঘ ঘটনার কারণেই বঙ্গবন্ধুর ৭ই মার্চের ভাষণ সফল হয়েছিল।©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
